Is anything I type stored or uploaded?
No. The code is generated by JavaScript in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
Can I paste the output straight into my project?
The output is valid for the values you entered, but it is a starting point: check names, paths, domains and versions against your own project before you ship it.
Why did I get a message instead of code?
A required field was blank or a value could not be used safely (for example a name with spaces where an identifier is needed). The message names the field to fix.
