Are the waste allowances realistic?
Defaults reflect common site practice — 10 % for tile / flooring / drywall, 15 % for wallpaper (pattern match), and 15 % for fill compaction. Every field is editable so you can tune to your supplier or crew.
Can I use imperial units?
Enter values in metric; results include ft² / cubic yards / US gallons where relevant so imperial teams can cross-check without a converter.
How is the stair layout validated?
We use the widely accepted comfort rule 2·R + T = 620–640 mm with a target 175 mm riser. The report warns when your layout falls outside the comfort range.
Are these estimates a replacement for a professional take-off?
No. These are fast, transparent site estimates. Final procurement should be signed off by a qualified quantity surveyor or contractor.
