FAQ

About Health Calculators.

Are these calculators a substitute for medical advice?

No. Every WebRul health calculator is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

Is my health data uploaded or stored?

No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, saved to a server, or logged. No account is required and no cookies track your inputs.

Which formulas do you use?

Peer-reviewed defaults: BMI (WHO), BMR (Mifflin-St Jeor 1990 with Harris–Benedict revised and Katch–McArdle alternatives), TDEE with standard activity factors, ideal weight (Devine, Robinson, Miller, Hamwi), lean body mass (Boer, James, Hume), body fat (US Navy circumference method), BSA (Mosteller), and WHO waist-to-hip risk banding.

Can I use metric and imperial units?

Yes. Every calculator supports both metric (cm, kg) and imperial (ft/in, lb) inputs, with results formatted in your chosen unit system.

Are these calculators safe for children or during pregnancy?

The adult reference bands (BMI, waist ratios, TDEE) do not apply to children under 18 or to pregnancy — those cases require age/sex-specific paediatric percentile charts and clinical guidance. Consult a paediatrician or obstetrician.
